Neurofeedback & Brain Mapping

My clients don't find me first. They find me when they've reached their limit and need something that works. I specialize in qEEG Brain Mapping, Neurofeedback, Biofeedback, and Photobiomodulation — working directly with your brain's electrical patterns to create measurable, durable change.

What Is Neurofeedback?

Your brain has a story to tell. We just need to listen.

Neurofeedback sounds like a fancy word, doesn't it? In practice it's quite simple.

It starts with a qEEG/Brain Map.

The first step is to place a soft cap on your head (like a beanie) that has sensors in it. An electrogel, or salt solution basically, is applied to each sensor. This helps us get a good signal to read your brainwaves. The downside, I'm afraid, is that it'll mess up your hair. So please bring a hat with you. You may want to adjust your schedule so you can shower that day before any major commitments.

The cap connects to a machine that reads your brain's electrical signals. Doctors use the same equipment to read brain signals in people with epilepsy or serious brain injury. Now this is not a medical intervention, I'm not a doctor and I don't diagnose. What it does allow us to do is get a picture of your brain, in the form of the readout (shown to the right). This gives us a lot of great information, and lets us create a visual picture of your brain that most people can understand.

What are we looking for? It's fairly straightforward, with a few nuances — we're looking for where your brain is running too fast or too slow, and where the electrical activity is too weak or too strong. That's it.

Neurofeedback comes next.

Neurofeedback is a non-invasive, evidence-based method that trains your brain to regulate and recover, become more flexible, and build resilience. We begin a session by placing sensors on your head to measure the electrical activity of your brain. The sensors connect to a computer that reads your patterns, then displays an activity on a screen to train your brain. The activity may be a game, an animation, or a video. With training, your brain learns to shift out of patterns that keep you stuck — a mind that won't quit, always on edge, trouble focusing, brain fog, mood swings, restless sleep — into patterns that support clear thinking, steady focus, and calm under pressure.

This is direct training of your brain's electrical activity, guided by objective data from your qEEG Brain Map. The best way to learn how it works and why it might be right for you is to book a free consultation with me. I’d be happy to show you how the equipment works, and give you an opportunity to try a simple session.

This work is not for everyone. You are ready to commit.

I work with clients who are serious, committed, and ready to show up twice a week, 90 minutes per session, for a minimum of 20 sessions. Talk therapy, medication, self-help books, and meditation apps help many people. For many they don’t. If they haven't worked for you, and you're ready for an approach that works directly with your brain, you're in the right place.

This work requires showing up consistently and staying engaged between sessions. If you're ready to commit to your growth, let's find out if we're a fit.
